Andrea “Andee” Hoig has spent her career amplifying the stories of purpose-driven leaders and organizations, making her one of Nebraska’s most influential voices in business, nonprofit, and community life. As Publisher and CEO of Midlands Business Journal and metroMAGAZINE, Andee leads two cornerstone platforms that connect people, celebrate impact, and highlight the changemakers shaping the Omaha region.

Her journey in publishing began in 1996 when she acquired metroMAGAZINE, transforming it into a hub for community storytelling. Under her leadership, ALH Publications expanded to include The Event Book, metroCONNECTIONS radio, and the Big Event, an annual celebration dedicated to honoring nonprofit excellence. Each project reflects Andee’s belief in the power of media to foster connection and build stronger communities.

In 2024, Andee took another bold step by becoming the Publisher of the Midlands Business Journal, bringing her signature blend of passion, authenticity, and vision to the business landscape. With this role, she continues to elevate leaders and organizations whose innovation and dedication fuel growth across Nebraska.

Beyond her work in publishing, Andee is known for her warmth, generosity, and commitment to service.
